Every few months my machines are down where I live, so since i live right next door to this place i come here. But there used to be a tiny Philippine woman who worked here that was sweet. Not anymore.I walk in to get my quarters since I dont have any at home on my way to my house to pick up my Laundry and come back in probably 5 minutes. Then immediately when I step in the door what looks like a frail homeless woman asked me what I'm doing... getting quarters.... I replied. Her husband I'm assuming since he looked that same in a very angry posture asked where's your laundry!? I stutter with a I'm just grabbing them now and headed to get my laundry.. they pointed to a sign and proceeded to tell me no I cant until I prove I'm doing it now. I said fine but holy $#!+ I've never been come across that aggressive in a place of business in my life. Then as I go next door for a drink and proceed to my car they are both outside smoking since the business is dead as a doornail. NO WONDER!!Someone should tell them just to close up now cause if they make it another year I'll be shocked. I deffinetly wont return and I'll make sure anyone I know doesn't return either. Just down right disgusting treatment over 5 dollars in quarters that they loose no money over. It's not like your paying a percentage to change people's money. My only thought is these people have had a few customers break there 20s and not come back and got so upset and chased them away because of it. Which in turn is their own fault. The laundry mat I'm at now laughed and told me to come by anytime for quarters even when I'm not a customer cause it costs them nothing. Also theres an office there for you to sit in so this doesn't happen to your customers . Just a tip.
I would give this facility zero stars if possible. I was optimistic that this facility would be better than where we normally go as it was smaller and seemed less crowded. I have a small child who can be a bit overly energetic and being in a packed laundromat often can be overwhelming trying to keep him settled and out of people's way while doing laundry. This facility was close to my apartment and had the large capacity washers we prefer to use. The large washer first ate a couple of my quarters but that's common at these places so I just out in a couple more. Upon removing my clothing from the largest washer the clothing at the bottom were wetter than normal. I rang them out in the sink and tossed them in a dryer. We ended up using 5 dryers to hopefully dry faster. That didnt happen. 3 out of the 5 dryers still have very damp to wet clothing in them after nearly an hour on high. I went to the gentleman who was working and asked if he could check the lint trap because my laundry wasnt drying. He told me he, "wasnt having dryer issues." His attitude was very condescending but in an effort to just get the issue resolved so I could leave since I'd been there going on 2 hours I just pointed him towards the dryers I was having trouble with. He proceeded to tell me there was nothing wrong, the lint traps were clean, ect. His tone was extremely disrespectful but I bit my tongue and tried my best to just explain that I sometimes find that if the lint trap isnt completely clean that they wont dry quickly and as I'd put $2 in each they'd been running for awhile and may be a bit full. He wouldn't allow me to speak and continued to complain and speak to me like I was stupid. He added time to a couple of them and continued to stand there giving me smug looks. The lady next to me spoke up and told him there was no reason to be rude and that his tone was inappropriate. He hovered over over me for a bit and I felt so uncomfortable that I stated I would just take my stuff wet and dry it at my complex and just wouldn't return. Not once did I raise my voice to him, yet he continued to make his way around and complain about me to other customers. I took my wet stuff and left extremely unsatisfied. I never asked for money back, I didnt complain when the machines ate $1.50 of my money, I just wanted my stuff to dry. I wont be returning to this facility and I don't recommend this one to others. Theres a much better one on Arden not far from this location if you need something in this area.
The old man who works there is so sweet & kind. I get my luandery done quick .
Not the current name of the place. Had a horrible interaction with the female attendant in there that could have been dismissed as miscommunication, but her attitude and the way she carried her self can not be over looked. The people there constantly walk around, look over you, stand by the quarter machine & make you show "proof of your laundry so you don't take the quarters and leave". I don't want to be creeped out when I do my laundry. I was only going there because I lived next door and it was convenient now I go to Fair Oaks or Mission.
Unnecessarily rude. When I said excuse me I got a grunt. The laundry co on Fair Oaks is the place to go.
